You should experiment to find out how much resistance you can safely handle on this exercise if you are new to it. You should be able to complete at least 10 reps with picture perfect form. If you can’t, decrease the weight. The seated leg raise is a more familiar move that helps you, once again, dig into those lower abs which are a trouble area for a lot of guys.
