The bent-leg calf stretch improves the flexibility of the lower leg.
Instructions
In a staggered stance, stand about two to three feet in front of a wall. Be sure the toes of your back foot are even with the heel of your front foot. Place your hands on the wall.
Bend the knee of your back leg to the point of feeling a slight stretch above the ankle of your back leg. Hold, relax, and return to starting position to repeat with your other leg.
Trainer’s Tips
Do not over stretch your calf. You shouldn't feel any pain.
The key is holding the stretch rather than quickly moving from one leg to the other.
