New York Giants punter Steve Weatherford , who arguably has the fittest body in the NFL, took time out to don the cape and spend time with kids at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York earlier this week. Weatherford went on a media blitz to promote the visit, stopping off to see Boomer & Carton above, and also meeting Duke Castiglione on Fox New York below. Weatherford took over the Hospital for Special Surgery’s Instagram during the visit so we’ve cobbled a few photos of his visit in the following slides. Check out the visit with Castiglione below, during which he talks about his plans to visit the kids and what it meant to him to feature in the November issue of Muscle & Fitness.
The Multitasker

The Power of the Ring!
Weatherford’s words: “Luna is my new friend! What a sweet sweet girl. She broke her knee! I know what it’s like to be injured but she knows she has to stay positive and appreciate life for what it is….. A blessing! #SuperSteveHSS”
The Storyteller
Weatherford’s words: “Reading one of my favorite books to my new friends: Dr. Seuss’ the Foot Book. #SuperSteveHSS”
The Comeback Kid
Weatherford’s words: “Here’s my buddy Steven, high school basketball player from New Jersey recovering from hip surgery. He’s gonna come back stronger than ever! I’m gonna follow him on Instagram and watch him make a roaring comeback!!! #SuperSteveHSS”
Positive Power
Weatherford’s words: “Alexa, from gal from Staten Island is gonna be healthy in no time! She’s an amazing gymnast and so motivated to be back flipping by spring time!!! We will keep her in our prayers!!!! #SuperSteveHSS”
The Road to Recovery
Weatherford’s words: “Me and Big Daniel can’t wait to see him back on the football field! Maybe we’ll play together one day! #SuperSteveHSS”You don’t have to be Superman to spend time with people. However, if you want to look cool while doing so, why not don a costume you dig and give some motivation and support to people close to you who might need a boost as they face whatever challenge is in front of them.
