From breaking long-held NBA records to being named the league’s MVP, to leading his team to its third consecutive finals appearance, the Warriors sharpshooter has accomplished some amazing feats throughout his career on the hardwood, leading many to ask, “Is there anything Steph can’t do?”
Well, up until a few months ago the answer was a resounding “yes”—he could not grow a respectable beard. For those of you who have followed Curry’s career, you know he’s been trying to cover up that baby face with some manly facial hair for years, but quite honestly it just wasn’t happening.
Then, for some inexplicable reason, the growth came to life, and the empty patches began to fill in. True, Curry has got a long way to go before donning face fur the likes of James Harden, but at least now he’s able to sport a look that comes without pity.
So proud of his newfound facial hair growth, that when asked by Good Morning America’s T. J. Holmes if he would shave it off ahead of the final series, Curry emphatically stated, “No chance!”
Tune in tonight, Thursday, June 1, at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC to see Curry and his full beard in action for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
