Back in September U.S. Marine Jarrod Haschert invited Rhonda Rousey to the Marine Corps Ball this month. According to SI.com, the invitation came via a Facebook video that went viral of Haschert saying, “You are my celebrity crush. Like, I love everything you do and I think you are a phenomenal person, which is why it would be my honor to take you to the Marine Corps Ball on Dec. 11. I really hope this doesn’t get in the way of your training for your next fight.”
Her response: “I would go, for sure. Do I call him? Or do I, like set up a time and place, like Never Been Kissed? Just show up and have him waiting there until the clock runs out and then be like, ‘I’m here!’?”
As of yesterday Haschert had not heard a word from Rousey… will she be in attendance tonight or not?
After the loss to Holm at UFC 193, Rousey hasn’t been in the best physical and mental state… BUT… she is keeping her promise to Haschert.
Rousey tells TMZ at 4 A.M today, “I would probably be crying and eating ice cream for another month if he didn’t ask me. It’s an honor to be going.”
