Injuries are a fact of life. As much as you can take precautions to prevent them, they still sprout up and some are of the hospital-bed ridden variety. For some of our past cover stars like Sylvester Stallone and Triple H, they are a common part of their environments on the big screen and in the ring. However, they’re not the only ones. Here are the six worst injuries suffered by Muscle & Fitness cover stars.
Arnold Schwarzenegger – Cracked Head

The Austrian Oak gashed his head open while on the set of 2013 film The Last Stand. Here he is seen getting a “tune-up” on his shoulder alongside friend and Expendables co-star, Stallone:
The Rock – Torn Hernia

Sylvester Stallone – Heart Contusion
Bumps and bruises are pretty common when you have starred in as many action roles as Sylvester Stallone. The former Rocky actor and Expendables hero, who grades the quality of his movies based on “the intensity of the injury,” suffered a heart contusion after being socked in the chest by Dolph Lundgren while filming Rocky IV. The 68-year-old also broke his back and a part of his neck while filming The Expendables.
John Cena – Herniated Disk
John Cena has been the face of the WWE for a decade. The 15-time WWE Champion gives back and fights his heart out, but shouldering that load can take it’s toll. Cena has spent much time on the shelf for injuries like a torn pectoral tendon and a herniated disk in his neck.
Triple H – Torn Quadricep

Among the laundry list of injuries, Triple H at one point had to take eight months off from wrestling due to a complete tear of the left quadricep.
Hugh Jackman – Groin
Wolverine has superhuman healing powers — Hugh Jackman doesn’t. The 46-year-old Australian actor stays stays in great shape for the X-Men role, but he’s endured a fair amount of trauma to his “wedding tackle.” While Jackman was filming the Statue of Liberty scene in the first X-Men film, his groin got caught in his harness and his screams were mistaken for some solid Wolverine-esque howling — ouch!He cut it close again when he his stabbed himself with his claws on his upper left thigh while filming X-Men 2.
